Christopher Rosini, age 34, of Brookfield, was arrested on Wednesday, March 10, following the investigation which began weeks earlier, after receiving multiple citizen complaints that he was selling illicit drugs in Danbury and Brookfield, said Danbury Police Lt. Mark Williams.

During the investigation, investigators were able to corroborate the complaints through several different investigative techniques, which lead to the issuance of search and seizure warrants for his person, car, residence, and phone, Williams said.

The first takedown warrants were served early Wednesday when officers from the department's Special Investigations Division, assisted by an officer from the Patrol Division and the Statewide NarcoticTaskforce, established surveillance of Rosini and followed him as he was driving in Danbury and stopped him on Augusta Drive in Danbury.

As there was also an outstanding warrant for Rosini’s arrest, he was quickly placed under arrest and transported to the Danbury Police Department. His car was seized at that point and also taken to the Danbury Police Department.

Investigators then proceeded to his residence at 7 Tody Lane., Brookfield, where entry was gained without incident. As a result of all searches, investigators seized hundreds of bags of heroin/fentanyl, assorted controlled Rxal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a substantial amount of cash, Williams said.

Rosini was charged with:

  • Five counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • Five counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
  • Possession of half-ounce of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine
  • Driving with a suspended license.

He is being held on a $100,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, March 31.
